The DUSD Roadmap to Re-Visioning the 2020-21 School Year
In response to the challenges of COVID-19, DUSD established a Re-Visioning Roadmap Steering Committee and Taskforce consisting of key leaders from each of our district’s stakeholder groups to assist in planning our path forward for the 2020-2021 school year. Since the first week of June, this committee has been studying operational and instructional delivery models and best practices to provide a recommendation that was provided to the Board of Education at the Meeting held on July 16, 2020. The data points analyzed by both the Steering Committee and Taskforce included information yielded from the Parent Preference and Distance Learning Surveys as well as guidance provided by state, county, and local authorities and public health agencies. The Board voted unanimously to begin the school year on August 13, 2020, utilizing the DUSD 100% Distance Learning Model.
