Report to the Community (June 25, 2020)

  • Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-56-20 to empower schools to focus on responding to COVID-19 and to provide transparency to their communities. The Report to the Community outlines the changes to program offerings that the Duarte Unified School District made in response to school closures that addressed the COVID-19 emergency and the major impacts of such closures on students and families. Included in the report is a description of how DUSD met the needs of unduplicated pupils (low-income students, English Learners, and foster youth) during the period of school closures and the steps taken by the DUSD to support all students with the following:

    *Continue delivering high-quality Distance Learning opportunities;

    *Provide school meals in non-congregate settings; and

    *Arrange for supervision of students during ordinary school hours
