International Student Ambassadors

Becoming an International Student Ambassador is an exciting opportunity to bridge cultural gaps and create a welcoming environment for students from around the world. As an International Student Ambassador, you’ll play a crucial role in helping new international students acclimate to their new school and our Duarte community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Welcoming New Students

- Greet international students when they first arrive at Duarte High School.

- Provide them with a warm, friendly introduction to the school environment.

2. Cultural Orientation

- Help students understand the school's culture, values, and expectations.

- Share information about local customs, traditions, and important social norms.

3. Academic Support

- Assist with understanding school policies, schedules, and the educational system.

- Offer guidance on how to navigate academic challenges and connect with teachers.

4. Social Integration

- Facilitate social interactions by introducing new students to peers and helping them get involved in school activities.

- Organize or participate in social events and activities that foster inclusion and cultural exchange.
