Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA) is Los Angeles’ county-wide Quality Improvement System (QIS) designed to empower early learning providers to build upon and improve the quality of care they provide to children birth to five. The program helps families understand what makes an early learning program effective and how to find the right program for their child.

Five Acres

Since 1888, Five Acres has been committed to strengthening children and families and empowering them within their communities. As one of the oldest nonprofits in Los Angeles, today we strive for permanency—a permanent, loving family for every child in our care. We offer a full continuum of care for families in crisis, including community-based counseling, foster care and adoption services, and a therapeutic nonpublic school for children with special needs.
