We Need Your Input - Please Take Our Facilities Priorities Survey Today!
Dear Duarte Parents and Community Members:
Everyone knows that quality schools are good for kids and property values, as well as maintaining a high quality of life. Accordingly and especially during these challenging times, our #1 goal at Duarte Unified School District continues to be providing a high-quality 21st-century education to Duarte students, whether in a classroom setting or via virtual distance learning. Since COVID-19 hit this past March, we have asked a lot of our Duarte Unified family, from shifting to distance learning virtually overnight, to distributing over 90,000 free meals for families in need. I’m proud that our Duarte community has risen to the challenges at hand with teamwork and a can-do attitude. For more on our distance learning success stories, please view our brochure below or by clicking here.
Meanwhile, I share with you today a different, growing concern: aging school facilities. The state of our classrooms and facilities is impacting teaching and learning. We make every effort to use resources wisely, and facilities planning continues to be a top DUSD priority. However, our needs are serious and growing, and they are now threatening the local quality of education. Because every child deserves to learn in a safe, healthy, up-to-date classroom, especially in this new COVID-19 era, we need your input. Please, join the conversation as we continue our planning. Simply click the button below to take our online survey by July 6, 2020. Thank you! YOUR opinions matter. We look forward to hearing from you.
