Welcome to Kindergarten in Room 1!  My name is Andrea Stalder and I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year!  

This is my 15^th year teaching!  I just love helping children learn all of the foundational things they will need to be set up for success.  I believe children learn best in a safe, caring environment.   I love to make learning fun and memorable and to do it with a hands-on, inquiry based approach.  I have high expectations, but I will do whatever it takes to help them meet those expectations with success and joy. 

I have a BA in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University, a Teaching Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching from San Diego Christian College.  I have taught Kindergarten for 10 years, First Grade for 3 years, and 2nd grade for 1 year.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a Senior Training Specialist for a large Fortune 200 Insurance company. I decided to leave the business world and come to elementary education because of my love for teaching and my love of children.  

I am here to support you too!  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask!  I look forward to partnering with you in teaching your child this year.  I know that as we work together, this year will be a huge success!

Candy - I love all milk chocolate treats - but my favorites include M&Ms, Twix, Oreos, and Milk Chocolate Sees

Hobbies - photography, scrapbooking, quilting, sewing, and reading.  My favorite hobby though is doing anything with my husband and golden retriever.
