Distance Learning Plan

  • Child Development will provide distance learning opportunities for all students that reinforce and continue previous learning. Our teachers and staff are committed to supporting your child’s learning. They will be working remotely and available during school hours to respond to student and parent questions. The best way to contact any staff member is through email.

Preschool Learning Packets Pick-Up: Our Early Education Teachers have prepared learning packets for each student that can be retrieved from your child’s preschool location on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  We will use a drive-thru system for pick-up of materials. Drive up, roll down your passenger window and state your student’s name, a preschool staff member will drop the packet on the front seat of your car. We ask that only one adult from your household pick-up the packet. Do not come if you are sick and do not bring your children with you.

By Wednesday, March 25, 2020, our teachers will also share additional learning plans through their regular communication systems with you (Google classroom, Class Dojo, email, Remind app, etc.). These will include a variety of online supplemental resources and indoor activities.

During this time of distance learning, it is critical that children maintain a regular schedule. Children should engage in their assigned school work on a regular basis as well as get exercise, good rest and be encouraged to help out at home. We also advise children should have limits to their time on social media which may contribute to heightened concerns.
