Greetings!

Please read the information below about the events and activities taking place in our district this week:

  • Open Houses take place this week at Duarte High School on Tuesday, April 16, and at Royal Oaks STEAM Academy on Wednesday, April 17. We encourage current and prospective families to join us to see what our students have learned throughout this school year and what they can expect for next year. Find the schedule of events on our website.
  • Interested in enrolling in the Early College Four-Year Degree-Bearing programs at Duarte High School? Incoming 9th Graders and their parents are encouraged to attend an informational meeting hosted by Citrus College and Duarte High in the DHS Library on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Questions, call (626) 599-5722.
  • Students wanting to participate in the Summer Welding Program and/or City of Hope Summer Mentorships, need to sign-up now in the Career Center at Duarte High School. Questions, contact Michelle Trail at (626) 599-5737.
  • Good luck to all students who will be participating in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) testing this month. We are confident you will do your best and achieve positive results. Learn more about CAASPP here.
  • Parents of children who will enter Preschool, TK, Kinder or are new to our district entering any grade level next year, and are interested in joining our DUSD family for 2019-20, are encouraged to enroll now online at register.duarteusd.org.   • Considering summer options for your children? We offer a free STEAM Summer School program for both DUSD and non-DUSD students in Grades K-12 with a variety of enrichment & academic classes open to all children that runs July 1-29. Registration begins the week of April 23. Find details on the district website here.
  • Mark your calendars! Next Monday, April 22, students and staff at our schools have the day off, but the district office will remain open.
